Read that one, too bad they don't know what an X-Trail is all about because it's one of the most efficient one out there.  As well I'm surprised the CRV is not on that list.

some of those are DEFINETELY tall cars.

Actually MOST of them are cars.  But if they called them SUVs they will be branded as cool and sell!

Being an american story,they don't have the Xtrail. Really surprised nissan in the US does not sell the XTrail. Im sure it would be a best seller like it has done in other markets.

I think Nissan is doing really well with the Pathfinder in the US, maybe they don't want to eat in those sales.  But americans don't really like small SUV's all that much to begin with.

X-Trail is really a great soft-roader. It feels like driving a jacked-up Altima. Both the exterior and interior looked understated and elegance. :o :o

Don't make me laugh....I find that figures are just stupid 20-30 gallon - those are 80 fuels figures are they - forgive me if I wrong here - but this is 2k years can't we do better than the mid  80's to mid 90's - just put diesel in then you would make them efficient SUVs  ;D

Weight, I wonder what the stats are on average vehicle weight from the '80 / early 90's and now.

The NX I just bought is 2300lbs!!!  Think about that, even my S2000 which is suppose to be light is 2800lbs.  My '93 impreza is 2400lbs.  That's LIGHT, there are very few cars that weight less than 3000 lbs now.

Shouldn't the Volvo XC70 wagon be on that list? It gets about the same mileage as the Subaru wagon.

Good thing I don’t go to Car and Driver for financial advice. There are many exclusions here and the Outback should defiantly not be in this comparison. I agree if the Outback is in then so should be the V70, XC70
