FX is probably one of the best handling/driving SUV's on the market

I didn't like how it's rear seat was relatively cramped and hard to get in/out of.

I think they look like those things years back where guys took a car body and dropped it onto a jacked-up truck chassis.  Well, in the case of the FX, it was a cartoon character's car dropped on a truck chassis.  Just not my thing.  The M35X, sure.
No place I'd rather be...

I love the looks of the FX35, I'm trying to persuade my dad to get one.

The FX is a very reasonably priced vehicle and it looks unique compared to most of the other vehicles on the road and you have to love those huge tires and rims.

I tested one a while back.  I really didn't like the exterior look all that much but the big rims and tires are nice to look at...expensive to replace.  The cargo area is poor and the interior is nice, but pretty funky.  It didn't make our short list.

FX's ride is bouncy and rough since it pretends to be a "sports car and SUV in one".

Aside from the mis-spelled title thread (tsk, tsk, Mr. Moderator), where has the poster "Roadrunner" gone - haven't heard from him in about 3 months or so??

I'm a car guy and agree with john. I'd take an M35X any day over the FX. However, the FX is still an impressive vehicle nonetheless. I just don't see the point in having an SUV that drives like a car, that doesn't even have good rear seat or cargo capacity. If you want an SUV that drives like a car, why not just buy a car?

Two 90 lb dogs, more comfortable higher up seating for those of us well over 6' tall, great all weather traction, towing capacity, etc.

Not sure if 2 90lbs dogs would fit.... I guess if they are on the back seat maybe.

Exactly what my fiancee said: "It looks like a cartoon car!"   ::)
My dad wanted to buy a FX35, bu as it is not imported in France, it would have costed him 50.000 euros, that is CAD 80k with the change rate back then...  :P
Glad I made him change his mind!  ;D

I do not like the FX period. There are better performance wagons for the same money.

FX's cargo space is a joke. As for FX45, there is a better performance, more economical, more comfortable but less edgier alternative called RX400h at the same price range. If you want pure performance-oriented, Cayenne S offers even more driving fun than the rough FX45.

... after something a little more... shall we say "minivanesque?"   :)

I test drove an FX awhile back to. I wasn't feeling the two tone cream and orange interior. The ride was bouncy because of the high profile tires, and the back seat and cargo area felt cramped.
