Well they are only $30k USD to start with.  You could buy it in the US and bring it over if you want one, not that hard!

101525 miles is a bit on the high side....unless it was from a sunny state where it was driven year round.  Nice car....with the good exchange rate....

ebay has an S2000 engine for sale, bidding starting at $2000 CND (1000 Pounds Sterling, actually).

I'd love to drop that into a Civic...  what a sleeper.  :)

Demo, S2000 engines are actually inexpensive because they cannot be dropped into a civc. :)  At least not with A LOT of work.  The engine turns in the wrong direction, the gear box won't mate up etc etc etc.  You'd have to get an entire S2000 drive train from front to back and convert you civic into RWD..... kind of expensive.

Someone did drop one into a Mazda Miata, but it wasn't an easy conversion.
1997 track/street Miata - I need a turbo!

A buddy of mine is thinking about converting his Civic to AWD.  That would be a very cool car, imho.

As for me...  if I had the time and extra money, an S2000-powered Civic would be an awesome way to spend it.  :)

A WRX would be a much better way to spend that extra money.  It would be cooler, faster, and probably more reliable.

A WRX costs ~$25 000+ USED.  We're talking about a 1989 Civic H/B.

That said, if he did have $25 000 to spend, he still wouldn't buy a WRX.  He's one of the types that much prefers a custom car that he built himself.  His last vehicle was a CRX with (iirc) a turbocharged Teg engine.

And an AWD Civic would be pretty cool, imho.

I, on the other hand, would buy the WRX.  :)  Saw one the other day, actually.  Nice vehicle...  very nice vehicle.
