Well I realized I can't continue to constantly provoke and attack everyone, their opinions or their car purchases because I would end up on everyone's ignore list and wouldn't be welcomed here anymore. And that's that alst thing I want. I like it here, and want to contribute as much as the next member. From now on, I'll try my best to be more respectful, and voice my opinions more carefullly, without insulting anyone or anyone's choices or whatever.

I applaude you for this Shnak and it is greatly appreciated, this is noted on your permanent record hahaha.

You have figured out the spirit of the forum, yes you can question, yes you can argue and state your opinion but personal attacks are pointless, as well as attacking someones purchasing decision.

It's so much easier to go overboard on comments on the internet because it is not face to face.  I often type things and then remove them before posting, mostly on other forums

Well to my own defense (or maybe not), I'm mostly like this with friends and other people I know when we argue about stuff... a friend of mine bought a Saturn Ion when they came out about 2 years ago... and I certainly let him know that I think that they're crap, that their interiors are terrible and that he certainly could have bought a much better vehicle for his money...  same thing when the same guy bought a Viewsonic computer monitor... paid a lot just for name when a similar Samsung screen is about half the price and better IMO. Another friend of mine bought a Sunfire GT, he sure knows what I think of his car. I don't go to the point of insulting them or anything, but they sure know what I think of their cars!  ROFL

I do the same thing with my parents when they buy their Intrepids and New Yorkers... then they get problems and I'm the first to tell them those problems wouldn't happen with an Accord or Camry... then, they tell me that the Accord and Camry are too expensive, and that they'd much rather pay less for a car, even if it causes them problems after problems. Their choice.

It's certainly not because I'm on the internet that I will express my opinions more or anything, I'm like this. I have an opinion, and you'll know it.

I love my viewsonic monitor Smiley

I have one at work and I despise it. Bottom right corner jumps around like it's frying bacon. And I'm sure it wasn't cheap when it was bought too!  Hurl Viewsonic

I know, but I'm only using it temporarily in 1600x1200.... at the resolution I normally use, the monitor doesn't jump around so it's okay... but still... I hate Viewsonic...

I don't think the monitor you have is representitive of the Viewsonic brand in general...but you're entitled to your opinion.  I know Costco has a Viewsonic 27" HDTV LCD TV for $800 or so.  Looks pretty slick......

Well I don't know about their TVs or their computer LCDs for that matter... But their CRT monitors have been amongst the worst for many years now... just call your local computer shop and them which monitor brand has the highest warranty claim rate... the computer shop I like here in Ottawa stopped selling Viewsonics completely because of the defect rate that was too high. Sure the company repairs or replaces them without a problem, but if close to 50% of your customers must return the products to get them fixed or replaced, it doesn't really look good on you for selling those products.

A little off topic, but My parents have went through 3 other monitors since i've had my viewsonic which is still awesome.

Personally Mitsubishi I think is one of the best.

Also I should add there are different levels of quality just like any product, you got your cavalier and your cadillac viewsonic.  I think I paid $1000 for my 19" CRT.

We use CRT as well mdx, My monitor has probably been here since day 1 of the company 18 years ago.  It's still going.

I'm in IT, but a small firm... we don't have money to waste, so no need to upgrade to LCDs until our current screens are busted... which shouldn't be too long anyways if I continue to use it at 1600x1200 LOL!
