Yes.....let's forget the sideshow and get back to what's important.  Pics of the Tribeca please.  Friend is considering a midsize SUV/Crossover for occaisional treks to the cottage (with 5 or 6 people) that has the ability to go into some mild off roading duty.  It's replacing the minivan.

My list to him included:
Honda Pilot
Nissan Pathfinder
Subaru B9
Volvo XC90
Ford Freestyle
Chrysler Pacifica
Toyota Highlander

Given BMW Canada is having a super attractive lease rates on X3 2.5i, one should look at the Bimmer before going to Subaru dealer.

I've seen quite a few in Ottawa, the more I look at them the more I like them.  Congrats on your purchase of a very reliable brand, enjoy.

Well guys, sorry about yesterday. I realize I was wrong and was pretty stupid with my comments.

Pontificator, I didn't mean to rain on your parade. I'm sorry about that. I hope you enjoy your Tribeca a lot. I'm sure you will because Subaru traditionally builds amongst the most reliable vehicles on the market and I'm sure the Tribeca isn't any different than any of their other vehicles. I really like its styling because as you say, it's different and even daring compared to anything else out there (save perhaps the Murano, that one stands out too). Again, congrats on your purchase and sorry about my comments, they were out of line.

Snowman, I'm sorry about what I said. I let myself go (again). I'm pretty sure you didn't take my comments too seriously and was not affected by them because you know I say things I shouldn't sometimes... sorry about that again.

And AVToller (who is ignoring me I think, so can someone relay my message to him please?), sorry about what I said... I'm glad you love your Yaris as much as you do, it's just not for me.

There, I sincerely apologize to everyone and will try my best to restrain myself in the future.

Shnak, having read MrT's comment I read your post. Good for you - written like a man (mensch). My ego is not tied up in my car choice, but I don't like the rudeness you often show to people who have just purchased. You are now out of Coventry and on probation.  Grin ROFL

Well I realized I can't continue to constantly provoke and attack everyone, their opinions or their car purchases because I would end up on everyone's ignore list and wouldn't be welcomed here anymore. And that's that alst thing I want. I like it here, and want to contribute as much as the next member. From now on, I'll try my best to be more respectful, and voice my opinions more carefullly, without insulting anyone or anyone's choices or whatever.

I applaude you for this Shnak and it is greatly appreciated, this is noted on your permanent record hahaha.

You have figured out the spirit of the forum, yes you can question, yes you can argue and state your opinion but personal attacks are pointless, as well as attacking someones purchasing decision.

It's so much easier to go overboard on comments on the internet because it is not face to face.  I often type things and then remove them before posting, mostly on other forums
