Still can't get passed its fenders.

I think they give it originality.

Anyway, excellent review!

Very nice review, though.  Certainly a drool-worthy vehicle.

Those are plain looking wheels for a $100,000+ car. But I guess those who can actually afford this car, don't really care about the wheels in the first place.

The rear seems like it has some mayback influence.

I like the front and the transparent roof option, but not much else stylistically. Fenders prob will look better in person, but the whole car looks long with a small cabin and the rear looks extremely Maybach with the way those rear lights taper into the butt. Just looks ungainly, thin, long, and somehow even with all the creases generic.

The interior looks to be MUCH better constructed, but a little plain in the way of the Hyundai Sonata (I know they're different, but just what I picture). It is shockingly similiar to the BMW 7-Series in design execution too. In my cars I'd like to see more wood/buttons and less 'compartments', even if they tend to clean things up. It looks too basic.

I'm sure it'll be a vault-like car, designed like few others, but I just don't like it.

Ouch! you know Mercedes is in troubles when someone compares their interior design to a Hyundai...  :'(

Well if you're askin' me the Phaeton's looks far richer, although less progressive. More stately and traditional - the way I think of Benz, although times they are a-changin'.
