Well - I can tell you that sitting in the driver's seat, it felt tense enough. Hitting the horn is always my first reaction that happens in parallel with other attempts at evading and preventing an accident. Not that I have alot of experience in avoiding getting hit at speed - but it has happened to me a couple of times over the  years and the horn has always come into play as I have maneuvered the vehicle out of harm's way.

I agree JWW... Young Drivers of Canada taught me to often 'cover he horn' when you get that '6th sense' that you might need it.  The one time I broadsided a woman in a Saturn who failed to yield at a stop sign, I still had time hit the horn while I was panic-braking.

The horn is a reaction-thing that happens when 'spidey sense' tells me somthing is up - that' all. The brake or gas is what you tend to cover first, but every accident I have either witnessed or any close call I have had has been preceeded - in most cases - by the sound of a horn.

Now - back to the Sonata - we are at 22500km, and other than a couple of minor fit and finish things it is still performing flawlessly. BTW - does anyone have any suggestions about reducing the little rubbing sound that you sometimes hear from a sunroof that is closed? I was wondering, for example if a wipe of armor-all or something like that would be in order?

Try some spray silicone...Armour-all might work too provided it is safe for rubber/elastomers.
