Why is it impressive? Have you driven on them?

No Morty, it's all about first impression.  The workmanship appears to be quite good, it does not feel like your typical low grade private brand tire.  I know you don't sell Cooper, do you know anything about them?  Are they not equivalent to brands like Kelly, Hankook etc?

Every manufacturer offers some great product and some dawgs. Couldnt tell you either way on the Arctic Claw. Cooper is a major tire manufacturer and would be as big as most except for Michelin, Bridgestone and Goodyear. This tire is new to the arena so time will tell.

Smain.....when I picked up my Millenia S a 2000 year model in 2002 the dealer had put 4 new Cooper SLR TOURING tyres on it..3 years later no complaints, they don't squeal, good in the rain and decent stoppies...even kept them on both Winters...no ditches or curbs hit(yeah I should get Winters)..I'm off to Florida in 3 days and they should get me there and back for a total of 60,000K before needing replacement.
Just a FYI about my Cooper experience...decent middle of the road..prolly cheap for the dealer but 4 new tyres,so I didn't complain...yup their Winters look aggresive and NICE RIMS too...what they asking $$$'s ???
THERE IS NO CURE FOR "LOTUS"......ONLY TREATMENT.....

I am looking to get these as well. I am all for saving money but are they compareable to the XIce and Blizzaks?

And do they come studless?

Lofty claim for a new tire that has not seen any Canadian snow yet. I guess time will tell.

This is what I got from Cooper,

Thank you for your interest in Cooper Tires. Your email was forwarded to me by Ms. Brown.

Cooper Tire manufactures the Arctic Claw for TBC Private Brands (tbcprivatebrands.com), who markets several tire brands, including Multi-Mile. TBC does not manufacture tires but instead has them manufactured to their specifications by many suppliers, including Cooper Tire.

Cooper Tire is not involved with any of the sales and marketing activities associated with the brands we manufacture for our private label customers. Consequently, those products are not included on the Cooper website.

Hey folks, I'm new to the board.

Anyone manage to find any spec's on these tires (depth etc.).

Has transport canada recognized these tires yet?

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't appear it is yet...is there a specific model number that Cooper uses?

Not listed but It does have the severe snow logo.  I put them on the X-Trail this weekend, can hardly notice the fact that I went to 15" instead of 16".  So far all I can say is there not noisy.
