Do you or know of anyone who has returned a leased vehicle and experienced some sort of unexpected charges when returning the vehicle??
Yup. I've known several people that were surprised that you can't give the car back with brakes at 10%, tires with 4/32 and so on. Most companies are pretty good about minor dings and small scratches, but leasing is not a free-for-all where you cannot maintain the vehicle. If you bring it back with bald tires, worn-out brakes, cracked windscreen and a missing major service, you'll get hit for those things. A friend of mine had lease-end charges on his Windstar add up to about $5000 with his mileage charges and charges for worn items.
I laughed my arse off at Sterling's comment about the car arriving on a hook! Sheesh.
