Test Drive:
2005 Lamborghini Gallardo
2005 Lamborghini GallardoThe concept behind the Gallardo was to create a sports car that can be used on an everyday basis, reports Tony Whitney. "Its handling would shame some race-cars I've driven, but when driven in city traffic, the car is surprisingly docile," he says.    More...

From what I understand, my only complaint with the design of the Lambo is that the gear ratios are far too tall.  Not that it can't handle the gears, but rather that 5th and 6th gear would be useless in North America if you like your licence.  I'd rather not have to shift down to 1st for some power when still doing over 100kph.  I wonder if shorter gear rations would produce a longer 0-100 time (due to a shift) but a better driving car - when not in Germany.

I noticed the swirl marks too. I also noticed that it took Tony Whitney half the article before he actually talked about the Gallardo  :-\

Yeah, no kidding, BB.  And when he finally did get down to it, I dunno about you, but I sure didn't learn anything from it.  With Laurence Yap, he gives some good, highly descriptive accounts of his experience.  Tony's article was a painfully boring article about one of the most exciting machines in the world.

Oh, and I've decided I won't order one in red.  Yellow or Orange look better on that car I think.  :)

I prefer the look of the Gallardo to the Murcielago (sp?)...  Looks better proportioned...
