I like what Nissan is doing and it seems a lot more others are joining. Good for them.

This week a friend of mine came and picked me up in his new M35 AWD and let me tell you that is one very nice automobile. The sound the v6 makes is sweet and he is very impressed with the car but not so with his dealer.

Nicely laid out inside too with a functional display. He did not get Nav System. Good on him.

Good job for Nissan.  They've only neglected the Sentra which is now an outdated machine.

The Sentra is approaching the Cavalier/Sunfire mark for dated appearance, and incentives.  At least they are cheap to buy.  I think the Quest has its issues as well.  I figured the X-Trail would do well - it's a great package.  But Nissan still have some tweaking to do to reach Toyota/Honda levels in perceived product quality, where they don't have to undercut their prices to compete like the domestics do.

But hey, things are certainly looking up for Ghosen's crew.

He described it as "shocking" that Ford was outsold by both Honda and DaimlerChrysler.
Not to a former Ford owner, it isn't.

Considering that just a few years ago Nissan had been written off, the turnaround is incredible.  What it shows to me is that IT CAN BE DONE!  Hello, anyone at GM, DC or Ford listening?  Make cool products with good value and people might come back.
No place I'd rather be...
