XC70
« on: August 30, 2005, 09:53:25 pm »
After 6 months of test driving and reading many forums I've took the plunge and traded in my RSX for a 2005 XC70.   The wife refused to let me take my son to school in my death mobile in the winter.  Also have a secong baby on the way.

Just wanted to thank everyone on the board for you help.

Used APA buying and it made it so much easier and faster on the purchase.

Specs XC70 Lava sand exterior with premium package.  Can't wait to pick it up on Friday.

Death mobile?  LOL, and RSX is far from unsafe.

Try telling that to my wife.  even with snow tires the car still slips and slids.

The XC70 is a much more family oriented car.  Congrats on the purchase and post pics....

Yes, Rsxca, post pix and change your "handle" to Xc70ca...

Congrats on the XC70 - a very family-friendly rig and a good choice IMO.

Congrats on the purchace. While you've got a nice family vehicle, once your son get dropped at school, you can have some nice fun in the snow with this vehicle.  :skid:

Congrats, Rsx!

It's a great car, judging by the numbers I see parked on local - and very hilly - streets.

You'll have tons of room for your growing family.

Replying to this a little late. I guess it is too late to return your XC70 for a V70R?? ;D The XC70 is a very nice carand will serve you well, just don't drive the V70R.....

For about the same monies you get 300HP and a 6sp manual with adjustable shocks, and big powerful brakes (i think Brembos). I guess on the flip side you get a few inches more ground clearance ::)
