Peak horsepower is never a true indication of a car's performance.

Vanilla ice cream is my favorite, especially with those little vanilla bean flecks in it..yummy!!

I'll take plain ole Vanilla any day over those exotic flavors that taste like broccoli and melt on your new shirt...

Captain Ron is Honda supposed to make sports cars for fat guys? Most sporty cars are designed for average sized males. The NBA and NFL guys with money to burn have no choice but to buy onster SUVs, it'a all they fit in..

I am 6'2'' 190lb, I wouldn't consider myself "big." The S2000 is a very tight fit, as is the Miata and G35c with sunroof. The S2000 is designed for average guys 50 years ago. The average guy isn't so small anymore. My dad was taller than my grandfather, and I am taller than my dad. Same with my sister-mother-grandmother. We are getting taller. The car doesn't have to be huge to suit a number of sizes. My Fiero had tons of interior space, up to 6'5'' you would have no problem fitting into one, C5 Corvette is also good up to 6'3'' or so. Even the Echo Hatch is very comfortable for me.

As for the fat statement. Why not? The states is a big market. Fat guys buy sports cars too.

I know it is 4cyl vs V6, but still the Camary is faster by half a second to 60, and is more than 10hp down on the TSX (slightly smaller car as well).

Toyota Camary 190 HP 197 lb ft. 1515KG

Acura TSX 200 HP 166 lb ft. 1505KG

The difference is in the torque that is why the Camery is faster. Why do people just look at HP numbers. I love my TSX but I didn't buy it cause I thought it was a speed demon. I tested the Accord and the Camry both of which are faster than my TSX. The numbers really wern't a factor.

I KNOW I KNOW!!!!

Whats my point? This HondaSalesGuy is driving me nuts!!!! He keeps pointing out all these scenarios where other manufactures have MORE HP but aren't faster than Honda models, he fails to mention any other factors such as 1/4 mile, passing power, weight etc...................

The current Altima claims 175 HP and yet is no faster than the 160 HP Accord.

The claimed 160 HP Mazda 6 is slower than the 160 HP Accord.

So I think some of these guys do have optimistic HP readings. Honda often has HP numbers lower than some of their competition and yet in real world acceleration tests we do better than the HP numbers would suggest. Bette to underpromise and overdeliver IMO...

So I did a similar same thing, I compared the much faster 190hp Camary vs the 200hp TSX, just to show how it can go both ways when you ignor everything else.

HondaSalesGuy is trying to somehow hint that Honda is understating/Other manufactures are overstating their HP numbers and it is driving me nuts. In another post he claimed that the 115hp was just as fast as the 148hp Mazda3 because it said so on some bias website Honda uses for their comparison charts. I OWN a 127hp EL, I have put more than 60,000km on it, I have driven a GX Mazda3 (148hp old rating, 150hp SAE), and there is no way on earth the 115hp Civic could possibly be as fast as the 150hp Mazda3.

I must admit, HondaSalesGuy isn't quiet as bad as Barrie and his belowed GM, but he is pretty patriotic when it comes to Honda. I OWN one, and it is what it is, I hate it when people try to pump up cars into something they are not.

Haven't you clue in already captain?! Hondasalesguy is a Sales guy for Honda. So naturally it's biased towards the brand that provides his livelihood. ;)

In real life "seat-of-the-pants" feel, Accord 2.4 i-VTEC does feel quicker than QR25DE Altima. Also a whole lot more refined too. :o

Captain Ron do you have a problem with me then speak up as I don't like your last comment at all. That is very offensive to me and I don't care what you like or don't like. I am entitled to my opinion on the brand i like but don't slag you for your choices at all. I had respect for your posts until now. :(

FYI, I have just driven both in the past 2 days, sorry but it's the opposite.
