should have pricing within 2 weeks. you can compare the U.S. price increase on 2006s to their 2005 prices and use that as a guide. We shouldn't have too much of a price increase since the vehicle is basically a carry-over.

if you bought why would you care about 2006 pricing?

$2000 off is very fair, you did well. On a 2006 the dealers won't have to do anything too aggressive to move them...

i bought a 2006, but we based the figures on 2005 pricing.  once the prices are in for 2006 they will add the difference to the price that we negotiated.  the manager of the dealer was a friend of the family.  i dont think anyone will get close to this price for 2006's.

he must be quite a guy giving you $2K off list for a brand new '06... But if he did it for you he will do it for someone else, everybody's money is the same colour...

That is a head scratcher though, discounting an '06 Honda before it has even hit the lot... Must be in the GTA somewhere...I pity the poor SOBs who work at the mega sized dealers, all that matters to their typical customer is price price and price...

it is in the GTA.  all that matters to them though, is to move move and move more vehicles.

did you notice that the horsepower rating on the 06 is now 244, and 240 lbs torque.  is it just the way they measure it now? (SAE net)

wonder if their salespeople feel the same way, as moving vehicles at close to cost doesn't exactly earn them a professional wage...

Same is here (http://www.canadiandriver.com/discus/messages/1492/39626.html?1125083945), $2000 off the price for new 2006 Camry LE. And after that I've send e-mail to dealers, 2 of them came with event better price.
