Accord - best Interest rates?
« on: August 24, 2005, 11:33:23 pm »
[tried to post this thread but cannot find it. Sorry if there's a duplication.]

Hello. Just discovered your forum. Excellent comments!

August 24, 2005. I intend to purchase an accord lx-g (4dr, manual). The finance rates are 3.9% for 60 months. Should I wait until September and hope for a better rate?

I was not able to find historical interest rates regarding Honda products on the 'net. I know that Honda is traditionally higher than other players, but not sure what is normal for them. With the altima S extra at 1.8% on 60 months, I will be paying $2000 extra in interest for the accord. I like the accord more, but $2000 is a lot of money...

Any idea what the interest rate will look like in September on the Accord?

But factor in the $1350 rebate (after tax) on all 2005 Accords and you are getting pretty close to the Altima price. And 3 to 5 years from now chances are the used Accord will be worth more than the used Altima.

Nobody anywhere in Canada knows what September rates will be on Hondas. They don't tell us these things in advance. But inventory levels are so low on Accords (I have 10 Accords in stock out of 115 cars) that I doubt Honda will have to drop the rates any further to move all their 2005 Accords.
