Knowing Mitchell, it's gotta be new.  He's not one to go for a used dump.  :-)

Mitchell, give Dave a call -- surely that's a family who knows where to get heavy machinary and likely from the same area you are looking.

It just goes to show you with GM"S high quality and many different models that even these older models are still highly desirable. Somebody's still got a good use for them.

Morning All, as a point of clarification, NEW or USED will be fine.

Thanks,

Mitchell

Mitchell, are you looking for a dealer or specs? Have you contacted dealers? What is the usage for the dump truck / materials in it? Where will the units reside / be delivered / travel?

I happen to have a VERY good contact for GM Medium Duties.

What configuration are you after?
Cat or Duramax?
Regular Conventional Cab or Crew?

...and let me know.

Thanks!

If you need a fantastic mine engineer, hear you've come to the right place as well.

Snowman's ridiculous remuneration requirements are justified by his superlative work, don't cha know? He's a bar-goon for hire!

"More importantly... WHAT FOR???"

He is going to steal the gold from Fort Knox and then drive it out of town.

Siraquaman64, would you be so kind as to forward the  contact information to my email address mitchell916(at)yahoo.com.

Brigitte; we're planning on using the dumps to move "things" or "stuff" . . .(for all you wise'guys)

Actually, the reason for these units is to haul light machinery about the country side.

Any other questions?

Heavy trucks - light machinery. Makes sense, but is this a career change and another Saab story?

Yeah.

What exactly does a fancy-flanked GMC C-Series Medium Duty for a "heavy/light/things/stuff" business looks like?

You paying cash or credit card, Mitch?  Can we race them at Cayuga when you're done?

Too many gears and not enough HP for Cayuga. Why not give Ryder a call or Pollock Rentals as they have large fleets of these For Sale across the province. These make good grain trucks as well as Dump trucks with their Detroit engines or the Cats.

Yes they make a good engine but it all depends on the usage as to which is better for the job. If its mainly flat land driving then the Cat is better but if its the long mountain type of climbs with heavy weight then the Detroit are best and also cheaper to repair or replace. A complete inframe is alot cheaper on a Detroit then any other make.

Barrie . . . .it's been ages since I've talked to the likes of you.

I'm simply partial to CAT power plants as this manufacturer is our vendor of choice when it comes to the Heavy Iron in our fleet.
Notably the new In series turbos on the big earth movers and loaders is something else to see.  Yesterday I got up close and had a look at a 365 Excavator . . . amazing how quiet those engines are given the size of the machinery they power.

Now if I can only find a way to upgrade the turbo in my 9-3 with one of those rebuilt turbos . . . bbye lag.

:-)

Geeeeez, Mitch.  Four posts in two days.  Are you sure you can stand the pace?    Do you need to sit down?  Can we get you something to drink?
