The young people to-day don't want to get their hands dirty either anymore. This Country is almost crying for Apprentices in almost every trade. 3-5 years and they have their ticket and will command a very decent rate of pay and good benefits. Even the Snap-On truck salesguys are having a hard time as their very few people to buy their tools.

Geez, somedays I think if it wasn't such a long, tough process, I'd do it all over again for a trade. An in-demand tradesman with some business sense is a near-guaranteed formula for financial success (he says as he recalls drooling over his builder client's silver 911 yesterday).

There are many days when I look at the construction site (moving the off ramp of the bridge that feeds into King Eddie, for all of you NatCap region dweller) outside our building and wish I had learned how to operate a dumptruck, excavator, or front-end loader. Sitting on my ass most of the day in the office is getting really tired.
