Yeehaa, closed course drive in Cadillacs :-)

There are pylons on the brochure they sent me, oh they don't know what they got themselves into

CTS-V here I come, auto-x style!  Hopefully I can try out the XLR as well it's pictured.

Of course they are having it, at landsdown park of all places.  Chrysler had their drive there last year, and the police shut it down due to tire noise.

GM is just as stupid as Chrysler apparently, they should have it at the corel centre!

How did you manage that? When is it? I may crash the event and see if I can scam me a spin around the cones.

And no kidding is Landsdowne ever a dumb place for that, considering the rich people who live around there do NOTHING but complain about noise from the Ex, from Renegades games etc. etc. etc. etc. so on ad nauseum blah blah blah.

"Tire squealing???? We would never do that in our Lexi and Infinitis!!! Tsk!!"

Damn rich people. I need more money.

It's by special invitation only.... not sure how I managed that, probably signed up for something.  Maybe they liked my CTS review a lot

I just got one to, but if you read the invite you have to test drive with someone in the car and after the Chrysler incident I doubt we will be alowed to push it. But I'm going to check it out anyway.

I did one of those with M-B on top of Mt. Seymour a few years ago. Got to drive a couple of AMG beasts. Quite a hoot.

The best thing about Mercedes drive events are they encourage you to push the envalopes. The Chrysler one didn't allowed you to push hard.

The volvo drive event let you take different models out on country roads for a great unsupervised drive!

Thanks JPD for thinking of me, I sure would enjoy a few laps in the new CTS-V as It will be quite a ride from all the press that has been written on it. GM has a major winner on its hands with that beast. Maybe London will get lucky some day we will have a track Day as well.

I have the invite as well. I gave GM my address ONCE and this is what I get....

..Oh well. I've never driven a rear wheel drive car before, this should be interesting.

Congrats to Jamesbe, Skypoint, Otttsx and anyone else who got one.  Enjoy.

The best I got was an invitation to join a contest to get an invitation for a car test.  Of course that one is for a Maserati Quattroporte test in Italy but who's counting?

Question:
If you do 3 donuts in a GM car are you doing a triple LUTZ?

Yes expecially with a rear wheeled version car from GM. Don't matter auto or stick many of them would do it.
