Checked two out at the dealership last night. Here are pics taken by a friend (Chris, the mechanic from
www.eunos.ca ).
http://www.eunos.ca/gallery/NC Both cars were pre-sold. The red is the special Limited Edition, the Grey one is a GS.
Thoughts:
- the top is the most brilliant design for a manual top I've ever seen. Light, easy, clean, and super tight.
- the seats are surprisingly narrow (I'm 5'10" 180 lbs) and look uncomfortable. When you sit down, they felt good and definitely grab you behind.
- in the 6th pic on the first page (refers to unexplored territory) at the bottom you can see the joint between the bumper cap and the front quarter. The joint is very straight and very noticeable and really disrupts the lines of the front of the car. Also, the gaps on the Grey GS at this point were uneven.
- trunk is like the NA and NB trunks merged. Better than before, but stil not huge. That said, the trunk hydraulics (or whatever you call them) are really firm and a nice change from the wimpy springs in the old cars (think trunk closing on itself on a hill).
- even with the new motor and dual exhaust, it still sounds a little whimpy - like the old Miata
- on page 2 you can see proof in a picture - a big FoMoCo stamped on the block!!!
- these things ride very high (wheel gap is brutal). Aftermarket springs or spring/shock combos will be very popular.
That's it for now as I didn't get to drive one. I'm sure I forgot lots of stuff, happy to respond to questions.
