No pole dancing, Ken? But it's so...so...festive! Congratulations on your purchase. BTW, and FWIW, I did my bit to restore the vote ratings for your posted pics. |

Actually, the Aerio I tested felt absolutely dead compared to the Echo hatch, but in all fairness, the one I drove was AWD. It was very comparable to the Matrix AWD with it's 123 hp. I actually prefer the looks of the SE - very clean and simple. I find the SX "over-dressed". |

Nice Car Ken hope you enjoy it for many years. "Congrats you could have done much worse." Ya he could have taken some of Snack's advice and had a real POS. Instead he bought a very decent car that he likes and that all that really matters. |

Although Aerio can't knock the socks off Mazda3 Sport and Matrix, its a very good transportation for those who need an appliance. |

Among the appliances, it was the most affordable, met the 4-door hatch criteria, and most of all, seemed to be the least common option. |

If it makes you happy that's all that matters. The price was right, the payments fit and it really is a great looking little car. And yes - of all the colours they offer I admit I like that blue the best. Happy Motoring Ken. |

Gk, what made you go with the Aerio instead of the Elantra GT? I know the Aerio offers more rear passenger space than the Elantra GT, but I'm pretty sure the Elantra GT offers a bit more cargo space, no? |

My sister has an Elantra GT, and I wanted to be different. Also the Suzuki dealer was really great. Overall though I was really impressed with the Kia, Suzuki, and Hyundai dealerships I visited. Worst experinces were at a Chevrolet dealer, a Toyota dealer, Chrysler, and Ford. They all put down competitors' products, and acted as if I had done no research and was a complete fool (I actually turned to the Chev guy and said: "If this is the way you treat customers, then no wonder GM has to give its cars away.") Dealers really make or break a company. The Suzuki, Kia, and Hyundai dealerships were staffed by mostly young, but always enthusiastic staff who never bad-mouthed any other company's products (at least not in my preseance,) and paid attention to my needs and limits. Oh ok, it does make sense to get something else than an Elantra when your sister has one. And yeah, I've had good and bad experiences at two Suzuki dealerships in Hull and Ottawa. Ottawa was generally very good, they let us drive the Aerio SX by ourselves, and they didn't put too much pressure on us. Ultimately, we didn't buy it because it was the beginning of the year, and they only had 4.8%/60 months financing on the 2005 Aerios... no thanks... and the dealership here in Hull, well they are always nice to me, taking their time to explain every feature of the cars... I guess they're happy when a customer walks into their showroom... it's never busy there. But when it was time for a test drive, they didn't have any demo Aerios with automatic transmission on their lot, they had one on an other lot apparently quite far from their dealership. So I left my phone number and they were supposed to call me the next day to come in and test drive it... I never got a call from them. I returned there 3 days after, asked about the demo unit, and was told that nobody went to get it and that I'd have to wait another few days... how hard can it be to go get a demo car!! So I walked out, and ultimately bought the Jetta. Suzuki had their chance to sell me a car as I was genuinely interested in it... but the lack of any good financing incentives at the time and their apparent lack of desire to sell me one forced me out of their dealership... And less than 2 months after that, Suzuki started offering 0%/60 months on all their 2005 Aerios... way to go Suzuki. |

Love those wheels, Ken! Beautiful colour, too. Congrats on getting exactly what you wanted, after giving it lots of thought. |

Snack maybe Suzuki didn't want your business, did you ever think of that? They must have had their reasons. |

o well... I tend to agree with you GK when u say that some Chrysler dealers dont give u the right treatment... I, for me, had only one problem with a Jeep dealer some time ago...it was a bad experience with the service departament and a simple oil change...at the end, the service departament manager and the technician responsible for the service were fired...like it or not, but i play hard when aint treated right.... anyway im back in my hometown and down here i have the 5 starts treatment at my Jeep dealer... |

Hey Shank, the Suzuki dealer and Volkswagen Dealership in Hull are both owned by the same partners... Which would explain why they share shuttle services and the back parking lot of the Suzuki dealership is full of new VWs waiting to be sold. But there's no mistaking the service you get at each dealership... at the VW dealership, they treat you like you bought a Mercedes, and I think that's how much they think of themselves and their cars. They won't allow you to compare their offerings with Hyundai, Honda or Toyota... As soon as you start talking about the Accord when inquiring about the Passat, their salesguys will redirect the conversation towards the Audi A4 and Volvo S60. Their mind is set about their products, how competitive they are and what are their competitors. |
