« on: August 15, 2005, 06:56:01 pm »
Hi! I hope you can help me out here.

I have an 87 toyota camry 2 liter 4 cylinder that has an acting up ac compressor. What it does is that when i turn on the ac, the clutch thing inside the pulley should grip and start spinning. Right??? Well....it grips for a bout 2 seconds and spins, and you can hear and feel the engine being overloaded with the ac, but then it stops spinning for another 2-3 seconds. engine relaxes. then, it grips again for 2 seconds and loses grip for another 2-3 seconds. What the **** should i do??? Please help!!!1

Raziullah007 Welcome to the Forum, sorry to hear of your problem with your car. As the car is a 1987 may I ask some questions 1st before advising Please. Is this the original compressor on this car? When was it serviced last if you have knowledge of that? Have the seals ever been touched on this Air system? The answers to these questions will Help us Help you.
