Camshaft sensor - Inductive or Hall Effect type for 1996 3.1L
« on: August 15, 2005, 04:36:24 pm »
Does anyone know if I have a Inductive or Hall Effect camshaft sensor on my vehicle (1996 olds ciera 3.1L VIN M)

Thinking a faulty sensor or voltage to and from the sensor is maybe why I get intermittent increase of RPM at initial startup.

or the

A/C pressure transducer circuit has a short.

Whichever it is will show up at a proper scan of this engine. I will attempt to find out which as I have a 3.1M engine here at home as well.
