The Matrix TRD is quite nice. Surprised it doesn't have ABS

I was really surprised at this when I researched the Matrix. Why would they offer a TRD version on something with no ABS, but not offer it on something higher?! The Corolla was the same thing if I can remember...

Thanks guys! I'll try to do some test drives near the end of this month. That way I can try out the new Civic shortly (if we have any by then).

No more 05' RSX's in Calgary anymore... We have 2 dealers, and one has an Automatic Tranny Demo, and the other has "One silver one left" so it's slim pickin's for me if I choose that car. Anybody know if dealers will move for the new 06's (Civic and RSX) if I have CarCostCanada prices? Better yet, anyone know when will CarCostCanada get 2006 prices??

pick 4 or 5 cars YOU WANT TO TRY, then go out and test drive each one on the same day.  You'll get a good feel as to which car is right for you.  To throw another wrinkle, if you're concerned with the monthly payments, considered leasing?

Thanks Bz, leasing is an attractive option that I'll need to give some thought to...

Near the end of the month, I'll be test driving the cars on my list (from first post). I just want to start my tests when the new civic comes out so I can try them all back to back in a relatively short time span. I don't want to wait for the new EH to come out to test drive, so the 05' will have to suffice as a tester.

Should be hella fun! I'm excited, it will be like an early xmas!!

Hey everyone, just a little update on my situation:

Just got some insurance quotes for the cars, and the RSX and Civic were obviously the most expensive. But it didn't exceed what I budgeted for, so I'm safe. What made me more surprised was that the Echo Hatch and the Mazda 3 Sport are virtually the same when it comes to insurance premiums...

Anyway, the 2006 RSX pricing information just came in. They start with Premium as their base trim now and it is $600 more?!?! Why?? As far as I can tell, there are no changes accept for the new SAE horsepower?! If I decide on an RSX, I'd probably want a 2005 model but the salesguy says he only has one premium left in an undesirable colour. Can I order one in from another area in Canada? There's only two dealers in Calgary and the other dealer only has a demo left...

I haven't decided on the RSX, but I'd just like to know all my options. Thanks everyone!

If you have money, RSX is probably your best bet.  If you are tight on money, Echo.  Gotta do what's best for you and your wallet...only you know the answer to that.

photos!

THAT SH*T IS BANANAS!!! Bee-Eh-Enn-Eh-Enn-Eh-Annas!

Look at those seats... that digital spedo... the lit-up tach... the lines and low-ness of the exterior stance... this thing is OMGosh brilliant. And with the mileage? Unbeatable.

And Ontario-built! Man, talk about bitchin'.

MultiV, was looking at the Cobalt. Looks really nice, and a good deal now with the employee discounts... I must put that on my list of car to look at over the weekend.
