Protege5 tires and struts
« on: July 30, 2005, 02:00:29 pm »
I just got a p5 with 75K on it. Fantastic to drive, but needs new tires. I'm mostly looking for economical (i.e. "cheap") summer tires bc it came with a winter set, not too focused on high performance. Any suggestions, and is there alternative sizing I can go with that has a higher sidewall? OEM size is 195/50R15.

Didn't pass safety insp with leaky struts. Any experience out there with non-Mazda struts, like Munroes?

Would recommend staying with the 195/50R16, but we have had some customers switch to a 205/45R16 for more options. For good and econo we have a special running on the Hankook K105. Nice Assymmetric summer tire and well priced.
