Hey folks this clutch supposively is going according to the owners statement told to him by the Dealership he visited. Does he have any signs of problems yet with this car or transmission. Its up to Canry owner to reply at this point as only he can answer this question.

I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble but walking into a dealership expecting warranty on a clutch plate is asking for disappointment.

But there must be situations when a part can be considered defective because of premature wear...say a clutch. If the driver has experience driving a stick shift than it could be reasonably argued that there is a problem with the clutch if it needs replacing after only 50 000 km.

Aye Boxgrover there's the rub, whether it be nobler in the hearts and minds of service managers to believe everything a customer says or whether to endure the slings and arrows of a very very subjective opinion.
In short, unless the dealer drives with the customer everyday, there's no way to verify the type of use the clutch gets.
If selling and fixing cars were easy, car makers would be doing it.

Sure, because there are 3 main parts to clutch not including a flywheel so sh*t can happen at 50K.  But it seems the original poster took a powder so not enough info to continue discussion.
