Winter rims for 2000 Accent
« on: July 09, 2005, 10:08:43 am »
My mother has 1994 Sentra with winters on a seperate set of 13 inch rims. She may be buying a 2000 Accent that has 13 inch rims. If the bolt pattern is the same can I keep my set of winter rims and use them on the Accent or is there more to it than that. Do I have to worry about off-set and other such things.
Living my BMW dream.

Just FYI. I have tried to find out code number for steel wheels for 2000 Accent vs 1994 Sentra on both "tireTrends" and Tirerack" websites with no luck. I just want to confirm if they are the same.

They are both the same 4x100 bolt pattern and tire size is the same. However, you will want to do a trial fit to make sure the wheels clear the hub and calipers. If the wheels dont fit you can always keep the tires and get them mounted on some steels that fit.

Haven't tried wheels yet but guys at Costco (Club Price) have advise me they won't fit. Something about the way the bolts a are recessed on Accent. They advise me only Accentr wheels with fit Accent.

The Hyundais do have a special bolt on the brakes that does interfere with the fitment of many non OEM wheels. I suspect they wont fit, however, it is worth a try. Take a little time, but could save you a bunch.
