Frame damage, norms and insurance
« on: July 05, 2005, 07:49:36 pm »
my 02 kia sportage was in an accident last year there was frame damage that was apparantly all repaired, just recently we have determined that there is still frame damage on the vehicle which the insurance is going to pay to "fix" by fix I mean they will put it back within norms. If they can't put it back the way it was before the accident but it's still within industry "norms" should they replace the vehicle totally or replace the frame completly?

It's cheaper for them to have the frame straightened.

They can - or at least they should be able to. The machinery is there and as long as they are competent and can handle it they should be able to true it up.

If not you might have to resport to some gentle pressure to the INSCO and that might require a lawyer. Good luck.
