How to fix sticky disc brakes and what will happen if it's not fixed? What causes it?

Quite often its the calipur that holds the disc brake pads in place not working correctly. They can become worn in the cylinders and bind up. Replacing the calipur in question is generally the only way to repair this. Sometimes they can damage the rotor also so don't wait too long before having this repaired or the costs will go up.

The slides in the caliper stick. They are a routine item that need regular servicing but are often ignored.
In my experience a caliper that binds up because of a sticking caliper piston will lock on to the rotor (disc) and you won't be going to far.

Artic is 100% right on that for sure. Thats what happens and soon adds up to a lot more money if you don't catch it in time.

Never seen "slider servicing" mentioned in any Manuals i've had...care to elucidate...second base......nice .. grab.....SAFE!!!!
