Need 8 new tires (ouch)
« on: June 28, 2005, 03:42:24 pm »
Well I need new 8 tires for my 2 vehicles this fall.  I really shouldnt complain since Ive had my current tires on my 1993 VW Golf since 1996 and the ones on my can are the originals from 2000 (95,000 km on them)

Nayone know of a place that would give a good discount if I bought 8 tires.  Or if there are any promotions on right now, ya know, 4 for 3, etc.  I live in Alberta

Those deals are usually at "full list price" and aren't really a deal.  For good prices and a good brand selection, visit the sponsor of this forum, TireTrends.  I've bought several sets from them now, and will continue to source tires from them.

Consider Kuhmo and Falken brands for excellent value.
No place I'd rather be...

My gf secured a set of tires from tiretrends last fall. Sweet deal (even including S&H) and good service. But you need to either find a shop or put them on yourself.

Ive been looking at the Yokahama TRZ.  Good all season tire and the reviews say good for winter driving too.  $135 + GST installed.  I looked at the Nokian Hakka at Kal-tire, but they are over $200 each for that all season.  They seem really good, but very pricy.  Any one have expereince with the above tires
