The mitsubishi warranty

10 years. thats along time.
afaik the warranty covers all the components to keep your car running- for 10 years.

of course this doesnt mean squat if your local dealship folds up and packs its bags.. but, if it doesnt thats a long time without major car worries.

its a gamble sure, but it seems like a pretty big payout if u gamble right. a 10 yr warranty would be great to have if mitsu can hold on.

any thoughts on this?

btw. does a warranty stay with a car after changing owners?  if another company buys out mitsu, do they have to honor its warranties? (im guessing not)

I thought the 10 year warranty was gone now? Must be wrong; but some maker just shortened (quietly) their warranty time - who was it?

Yes, I believe it was Hyundai that quietly dropped theirs.

10 years is a very long and good warranty.  My guess is Mitsu has to offer it to counter the fears of consumers, but that really doesn't address the biggest ones:  will the dealerships and/or the automaker be around for the 10 years?  It's anyone's guess at this point in time.

I'd have to get an absolutely amazing price on a Mitsu before I'd even begin to consider one, and that's due solely to me wondering if they'll even be around tomorrow.
Suck, squeeze, bang, blow - who wouldn't love the internal combustion engine?  ;D
