At 34,000 miles, my otherwise perfect 2002 Limited Toyota Highland, automatic 2 wheel drive, developed a leak in the rear main seal while still under warranty. The dealership dropped the transmission, repaired the seal, returned it two days later with a gear shift linkage problem and clicking and vibration in the steering column. Ever since these repairs, my car has never run the same. The gearshift still feels wrong but mainly the car now idles really rough at stops in Drive (noticeable vibration throughout the car; especially in the steering column). Putting it into neutral or park resolves the problem. What would the recommended fix be……and do I dare take it back to the incompetent shop that created the problems for their resolution? (It's been several months and now out of warranty.)}
