Budget: 3000 including tax.
« on: June 04, 2005, 02:46:03 am »
i have set my mind on getting the
Enkei - RPM2 18 x 8 5x112 35mm (Hyper Silv)
which in total including tax is C$ 1,769.28
that leaves 1200 including tax to get 18' tires, can you recommend me any performance tires at that range? summer tires is what i'm looking for, so can you recommend me any tires at that range and good(not best) at cornering and griping? Come to think of it, i just need semi-performance and i need tires that are better than stock 2004 a4 1.8t tires,RECOMMEND ME SOME =]
Thanks alot.
Love Tiretrends.com

ps: it be very nice if you guys have a shop set up, with installations of suspension and  mounting tires on the car. Cause i don't know what to do if i buy 4 tires from you guys and carry it in my audi....haha..no space? =(

If you're looking for semi-performance tires, try all-season.  My Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S are great.  They are quiet, comfortable with decent road grip and good tread wear.

By the way, I do have dedicated winter tires.

I don't think they do installs.  The only time they will mount tires  is when you buy a tire/rim combo.

2004 - Tiretrends is your best bet to buy and depending on where you live you might save some sales tax.

I have the Yokos ES 100s that I got two year ago and they look brand new still. You can find several brands in that price range and check the revues on their sight and TireRack too.

The problem with 18 plus rims is that the tires get very expensive, and heavier.

Good looking wheel....tire choice in 235/40/18 is quite large. If you are looking for something that will give you great performance check out our Ecsta MX special. If you are looking for something higher mileage then possibly consider the Hankook V4es or Continental Extreme Contact. Here is a link with a huge amount of options:

I also forgot...if you do buy wheels and tires, we mount for free and also include Road Force balancing for no charge. Oh and we throw in the free hardware as well. We dont have a shop, so no installation on the vehicle. More than welcome to pickup though.

you guys should have a partnership with at least some shops to install suspension and wheels, cause that way you can get a bonus of their profit(probably) and we can probably get a 5%-10% discount(hopefully).
just pitching an idea, cause customers like myself doesn't really want to go around and find out different quotes and go with the most reliable and economical.
just a thought =]

Mort, I purchased at set of Kumhos MXs (215/40 x 17) for my V8 powered Miata.  So far, I'm very happy with them, and the sale price was an added bonus.  The only problem is that it's too easy to light up the 215s

We would love to have some approved shops. However, it means we approve them. So, if they do a poor job reflects poorly on us. Would rather have our customers go where they feel comfortable. That being said it is something we are working on.

84im...I think V8 Miata says it all. Maybe pour some glue on the tires before you head out next time. MX has been getting really good props...especially with some of the autoX variety. Glad to hear you are happy!
