Good thing this wasn't discovered 8 months after the launch when more than 44 cars have been sold to customers.  Hope nobody got injured as a result...and good for Mitsubishi for not covering this one up.

Mitsubishi said up to 1,185 vehicles could be affected. Of those, 44 have been sold to consumers and 400 are at dealerships. The rest are in transit

Only 44 out of 444 are sold?

It's a nice looking car.  Looks like it's not available in Canada yet (Not on Canadian website but on US).  Too bad that this had to happen.  At least they aren't trying to cover it up and only 44 units have been sold to people.  I hope that Mits. discovered the problem and not a consumer.  One would think that something like this would have been caught in Q.A.  I hope that Mits. isn't skimping on that.

Wow, Mitsu has to stop the hemorrhaging soon or it will surely go belly up. It's a good thing they are showing corporate responsibility however. I have a good feeling that Mitsu can pull it together if they can just last long enough to get to the light at the end of the tunnel.
Sometimes, the problem with your car is in between the steering wheel and the seat.

I think they would have sold them all except for the recall. They certainly are doing the right thing. i wish them well with the vehicle after this problem is cleared up. If they are increasing the production no's of this model there has to be a valid reason. No-body does that without the sales figures going the right way.
