New 05 Nissan X-Trail XE, the anti-theft system doesn't glow or blink. How do I know the system is working? Thanks

The thing is supposed to make your lites flash and horn beep when you use the remote fob to lock/unlock the vehicle.
You can disable this feature so check your owner's manual to see if that is the case here and you can change it.

Thanks. What I want to know is why the security indicator light on my X-trail doesn't glow or blink when all the doors are locked. Thanks

That one I'm not so sure about;
let me fwd to the tech guys and I'll find out.
My Frontier doesn't do anything like that when the system is armed;but I know it is active since it armed when I locked it up...but I see what you mean.
I will try to find out...prob Tues due to May 2-4

I was able to get some info today and it seems that the lite on the system in the X-Trail is supposed to blink when system is armed.
The key here is to make sure that you are using your fob to lock/arm the system.
If this fails to happen then take to dealer for diagnosis.
