Fixing a Wheel?
« on: May 20, 2005, 09:17:57 pm »
It's a sad day for me, I did something stupid.

I backed into a curb and scratched the side of my rim where the rim protector is... stupid thing never worked.

I live in Vancouver, BC and I am wondering if anyone could suggest a place to take my rim to get fixed or if it is fixable?

Thanks.

Both do a really good job, but it is often expensive.  A new single wheel (if it's not OEM) might be cheaper.

Thanks guys... I'll check it out.

Yeah I paid $215 for my wheels each brand new... if it's too much I might just buy another 2.  One to replace and one for backup. LoL

I just need my lip rebuilt.

I have used Green's alot when I worked for a M/Benz store in Kelowna;they do great work but yeah they aren't cheap.
Try Kal tire for a new/used wheel.
They often have some good deals.
Maybe used?? You have good options if you are in the Lwr Mainland.

Rim protectors usually only work for minor impacts and scrubbing. Keep in mind that they are only rubber and rubber flexes. If it hits something hard enought the rubber flexes enough to expose your wheel to damage. Remember...you still need to be careful.

Both Green's and Panther do great work. Often it is less expensive to repair the wheel rather than replace it. If it is just some minor lip damage it should be too bad.
