I put up a sarcastic reply to the above but deleted it. Don't think it's worth arguing over. A little self-promotion doesn't hurt I guess. But I'd far rather attend the real, live event than view some wooden model race car, no matter how well it has been done. I think it's a real shame that Vancouver is losing the Indy.

Yes it is a shame as there is alot of Tourism money gone with it as well. I wonder what scale the wooden car is made from.

Bigbad - yes, that would be neat, shop is in Richmond. I used to collect a lot of models, 1/43 white metal by Durham Classics, Brooklin and others plus 1/18 by Exoto and Ertl etc etc etc.
Sounds like a plan?

Hey, Lachance, no one wants your wood model so you might as well stop ADVERTISING on here, which, incidently, is not allowed on this Forum if you care to read the rules. So, stop with the posts if you would.

You are not only advertising on here, you're doing it poorly. If you spent a little more time reading, and a little less pretending you're are not promoting, you would realize that the "I've got no life" attaches to many posters on here based on post counts and nothing to do with anyones personal affairs.

No, I really don't want your wooden car and, for your information, I have a life. So, you have a nice day, BUD non-profit. I would expect your posts on here will soon be deleted by the Site Admin so it's no real big deal for me.

Don't get a sliver, BUD.

"Please note that advertising is strictly forbidden without prior consent from the board administrator"

That's the direct statement from the home page to these forums. OK, Pierre Lachance, occupation -"Promoter" (from your profile), I'm going to explain this to you one more time so maybe you'll finally understand.
1. you posted your material on here three times before ppl got on your case.
2. you are definitely a seller of something, wooden models, I guess. Do you see in the Forum rules anywhere that sale of wooden models is OK on here, even if it is for charity purposes?
3. you don't know the ppl on here so don't even presume to say that none of the posters here have done anything for charity. I, for one, have and I suspect many more have also. You don't know us so don't make statements you can't begin to support.
4. this Forum is for discussion of all things automotive, it is NOT for promoting or selling/buying.
5. this Forum has no official Moderator, so we all police it to some extent. Those that break the rules are quickly chastised by the posters here. You seem to think you are not subject to the rules nor to the opinion of the rest of the posters here.
6. if your so-called "charity" promotion is allowed, why no all the buy/sell/trade stuff? Soon there would be no discussion and it would be useless as a Forum.
7. we have nothing against you personally, just against what you are doing here. Do NOT start making fun of the posters on here as that just adds one more strike against you on top of promoting your product.
8. Please cease posting your promotional models and leave this Forum alone if that's all you intend to do. If you wish to stay and talk autos, that's fine. Just obey the rules.

It's not that difficult. We like this Forum the way it is, without advertising on it, other than that allowed by the CanadianDriver site owners. Respect that please and that will end this nonsense. Good luck with your models - just don't promote them on here.

Is that clear enough?

Well said, Ovr.  And time to take it to the Big Wheel if it persists.

That model is cack! I though it was carved life size or something, at least have something interesting about it, but alas...

Also does anyone find, "crashing cars in the death-defying T-Bone crash" in the remotest bit interesting anymore, I thought that went out in the late seventies..?

And Mr LastChance, I'd stop what you're doing right now if you do it, "To Hispitalize Children!"

Bob_defly, did you read Community-plus's last post before your post?  If you did, and then still decided to post, you're a dumb ass!  Community-plus was trying to make amends.
