Congrats and enjoy  the nearly new ride...
As an aside why do posters ask for input when it seems their minds are already made up(my feeling here)? Do they count the "yesses" for their choice on the thread and ignore the others....
I can't see many of us...deciding based on who is posting that day(s).....Just My Opinion......
If Monmans love was for a sporty ride..he lost out to the "safe" side of his brain...NOT that there is anything right wif dat!!!
THERE IS NO CURE FOR "LOTUS"......ONLY TREATMENT.....

I think the value of these forums when asking for opinions is that perhaps the owners of the cars in question can provide some insight that cannot be found in specs, magazine reviews, or dealers presentation.  Insight that can only be gained from driving/owning the car for days, weeks, months, or even years.  Opinion from owners would definitely be more valueable than people who merely test drove the car around the dealer block.

I think the "NO" will count if (for example) 3 different people owning the same car coming along saying there is major problem with the engine, or the transmission, costing them thousands to get fixed.

In this case, Empty is looking to buy a "newer used" one, so long term reliability would be an issue, any "known" issue about the cars would definitely be helpful as well.

Safristi -- I think you have me mistaken for someone else. I never asked for an opinion between the EL and another. You must be referring to the person who started this thread. I was merely chiming in about how happy I was with my new ride. I wasn't looking for a sporty ride, just a safe, comfortable and somewhat luxurious choice.

"As an aside why do posters ask for input when it seems their minds are already made up(my feeling here)?"

Saf - my mind was far from being made up before I posted.  I was looking for input to sway me either way.

"Do they count the "yesses" for their choice on the thread and ignore the others.... "

Not really.  I took into acct. to opin's voiced on this thread as well as others and continued to research the cars in other places.

"If Monmans [We now know you meant me] love was for a sporty ride..he lost out to the "safe" side of his brain..."

TOO right my man - but, I'm young and sporty can wait until I can afford more quality.

Tanks to everyone mon - I tink dere's no more need t' post on dis thread.
