« on: April 05, 2005, 08:14:22 pm »
Hi

I have a Malibu 2004 LS with a V6. The tire size is 205/65/15.

I'm looking for a summer tire with these caracteristics:

- Good traction on dry and wet;
- Low noise;
- Good traction in hard corner;
- Under $125.00/ tire

I have thank to:
Michelin HYDROEDGE or Yokohama AVSDB S2

KUMHO and FALKEN is a good or a cheap tire

Thanks for your comments

Michelin Harmony works well, not too expensive and available at CTC.
I miss my motorcycle!

I'm running Michelin MXV4s on my Focus. They're excellent all around tires but you'll have to pay more than $ 125 per tire for them.

You have a few different types of tires listed in your options. The Michelin Hydroedge will give you wonderful wet performance, quietride and very good longevity. The Yokohama AVS db2 will offer better performance with a quiet ride and not as good longevity, but more fun in the dry.

Both the Kumho and Falken are great tires, I am assumimg you are looking at the Ecsta ASX and ZE-512. Both offer good wet performance, however I will give the edge to the Kumho in dry and to the Falken in the wet.
