Hercules Tires
« on: April 04, 2005, 11:49:09 am »
I'm baaack, with more questions.  When I purchased the car, it came with the Hercules H/P 4000. I never heard of Hercules and don't know if they're any good or not. I did a search on Google and found nothing in terms of reviews. I read somewhere that they join forces with Cooper.  Does anyone know if these tires are any good?  I have a second car that needs all seasons, but I'm hesitant in putting these on her.  These tires are T rated and my car requires a H rated tire. Does it make a huge difference in terms of the ratings?  Thanks

They would be similar to a Cooper or Canadian Tire brand tire...

I bought Falkens for my 96 Accord. Nice tire, firmer ride than I was accustomed to (I had Pirelli 400s before), but handle well and are reasonably quiet riding. Also, rated #1 in Consumer Reports at the time I bought them. Finally, were a steal compared to others. Enjoy

Accordingly,

Thanks for the advice. I will look into the Pirelli 400s as well. I'm trying to spend as little as possible as this is for my second car because I also need a new set for my other car.  Those ones will cost more, ofcourse.

I will email Tire Trends for some recommendations.  Thanks again.

Based on previous posts at this forum (do a search), the Falken 512's are hard to beat in terms of bang for the buck....especially for a H-rated or better performance all season tire.

Thanks Davidy. This really helps. I called one place and asked for the cheapest but good "H" rated tires and they recommended the Falken 512. I have to get a set of Toyo's too, so I'm barely managing here.
