I actually like Caddys. I understand what you meant now. Yes for sure. It's gonna feel big now. The Mini, despite its size, had really good pick up. I actually would love to own the new Caddy cabrio. It's a beaut! Can't afford 100K though. That's a lot of green for a vehicle I would only want to drive 6 months out of the year. '

I ended up getting the 5speed Automatic Tran. I'm still looking foward to it though! I can't wait to sample the audio system. I hear that they are quite sweet.

And just think a few months ago the two of you were bitter enemies. Who changed?

Your adjustment period is going well Barrie and when we get the Saffster back from his "Not For Ford" clinic he will be his same old self.Well we hope, but not pray.

I saw an XLR in Miami and had an opportunity to peek inside. I am disappointed in the interior as the dash layout is still very 'old man' Caddilac styling. Outside is looking better but they've got one more step before it's an SL beater.

Stalling is about the only problem my MINI hasn't had! I have a 2002 MINI Cooper (third shipment into the country). The first week it had an oil leak, the hood release handle came off in my hand and there was a problem with the air conditioning. I was rendered speechless when I found out I couldn't even get a courtesy car. One month later the handle came off again. This time I took it to a dealership closer to where I live. They made the repair and adjusted the air conditioner again. In the 2 1/2 years I've had the car it's been at the dealer 10 times. The biggest problem has been the air bag light. The latest solution was to change one of the air bags. The car sat in the shop for 5 days waiting for a bag to come from Vancouver. Guess what?!....the light came back on yesterday. The newest issue this winter has been the inner mechanisms of the door handles siezing. At one point, the only way I could get into the car was by climbing through the trunk. It was in the shop this time for 3 weeks waiting for new door handle to solve this problem. Fourtunately this time they gave me a loaner. (A new Saturn which frankly, handled a heck of lot better in the snow.) When I finally contacted MINI Canada, they didn't want to do anything for me and didn't seem to be too concerned that I'll be telling everyone who asks, MINI Canada sucks. CAMVAP here I come. Stay tuned.

Update. It's been 1.5 years since I traded in my Mini for the Honda Accord Coupe. The car has had no problems whatsoever. None... zippa... zilcho... You get the picture. I am so impressed with the coupe that I also added a 05 EX-L Accord sedan to my household. 7 months with the new one and no problems... None... zippa... zilcho... Coupe is nice when you want to be sporty (240HP) and the sedan is still sylish when you gotta do the family or client thing.
I am now a Honda man and will buy nothing but Honda vehicles (Acura included) in the future. (I've got my eye on the TL).

Sorry to hear about your negative experience Unhappyminiowner. Ditch it if you haven't done so already.

(Message edited by thewetson on May 25, 2005)
