CLS "Coupe"

I'm tired of Mercedes-Benz's never-ending sales pitch for thier new CLS; saying it is the world's first 4 door coupe.  

First of all, the RX-8 is an actual coupe with 4 doors which wouldn't make the CLS the first.

Secondly, the CLS is a 4 door sedan with a coupe like rear profile. But that's it - it's no coupe.

I'm all for new and interesting designs, but not when the sales pitch is a blunt overstatement.

The Alfa 156 and Jaguar S-type are also 4 door sedans with coupe-like looks. Saturn Ion coupe offers rear doors like the RX-8.

Robo - who cares? You and the rest of the world knows its a four door sedan, so let them say what they will. It does have nice lines for a four door sedan and I think that's all DC is trying to get across to us. I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
