Optima in the scrapyard - a little back story on the brand - http://oldcarjunkie.wordpress.com/2012/02/03/rarely-seen-canadian-optima-found-in-the-junkyard/
The only people that made money on that brand were the sign people, putting new signs at the dealerships  :rofl2:

couple days late, but

end of january, i saw numerous police cruisers prowling about, and pulling people over left and right.

even the rcmp were out in force out in the boonies, making traffic stops at night on country lanes..

i thought "must be the quota time again".

3 days into february now, and i have not seen 1 police cruiser on road so far.

on a side note.  i like police.  they gotta do what they gotta do to make ends meet.    ;D  and as long as they allow (indicated) 10 km/h over for ticketing, i would continue to be fine, so all is well!!

Driving thrills makes my wallet lighter.. and therefore makes me faster because i'm shedding weight... :D

I saw a new gen Saab 9-5 on the road in Oshawa. It was dark and I had no clue what it was until I was up close.

On the way back from Blue Mountain last night, there were 3 cars in the ditch on highway 26. The roads were clear but blowing snow made for treacherous patches with 2-4 inches of snow on the road out of nowhere.

Well, the temp was above 0C today and there's virtually no snow here.

Spotted a Honda Micro Van in Oakville on the QEW yesterday evening something like this one. Have never seen one of these before. They're tiny.

You should pick up one of these Francis to trailer the 'Queen' Elan once complete.  ;)
BTW, You're over the 10 weeks reno on that item. Not that anyone is counting of course. :nono: Must be spending more time on the new carport?

Two generations of Cadillac on the 407 yesterday.  A 5 year old full size Caddy  driven slowly by someone who looked about 80 and in close proximity an evil looking black CTS-V coupe driven very aggressively by a youngish guy,  trying to get through the 110 km/h traffic...which he eventually did and then disappeared toward the horizon like the Millennium Falcon in a hurry.

First CTS-V coupe I have ever seen in motion...I must admit it looks good if one likes that Arts and Sciences razor edge design...which I think I do.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
