I got the OK!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: February 07, 2005, 03:59:57 pm »
Well, wifey says to start looking to replace the Blazer. The repair bills are killing us and now it's starting to squeek at the front of the motor....Sounds like this "ree-ree-ree-ree-ree".

So, tonight we're going to look at a Mazda6 Hatch, a VW Jetta Wagon TDI, a VW Golf TDI and....well, I probably want the 6.

So BHatch and SS, what are your opinions on the 6? Are we still loving it? Any pluses or minuses? What are we talking for gas mileage? We are looking at getting the GS 4cyl with GFX. Only 422 a month to lease!!!! Holy cow!!! But sadly, no sunroof in this model....And I love my sunroof!

Wifey hates the wagon, so I think I'm losing that battle. I think we can get by with a hatch for now!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

I think we both agree on the titanium grey. Easy to keep clean and won't be outdated in a year.

She better still agree to this when she gets home or she's in big trouble....

City the noise sounds like one of the pully's has a bad bearing or a belt is wet. Had a Chev truck here to-day that the driver thought his water pump was going, turned out to be a wet Fan belt making the noise. A little lube and he was gone.

I'd say it's a bad bearing. It is worse on start up and is starting to have a "metallic" sound to it, if you know what I mean. After dropping 2600 bucks on repairs I think it's about time to kick it to the curb. I think. We'll see what she thinks. She must be up to something...

Ya, it was a lot easier when the male went out and bagged a deer, dragged it to the cave and gave it to the female of the species to clean, cut and cook. No need to get permission, just did it. Then he went out and played caveman golf with his buddies. His job was done. The male has given away his initiative and the female is way too rational when it comes to car buying today. What you mean, I can't do another car deal this year? Geez..........

A new pulley is a lot cheaper then a new car. Probably $30. to $100. for it. As you have spent so much moola on this vehicle I would keep driving it to get my investment back out of it. Ya I know, Kinda ruins the new Toy plans but the longer you drive this old beast the longer you can save towards the new one.

Whoohooo!!!!
yipeee yay!!!
Anyways I had always wanted a 6 since I saw it at the motor show in 2002.
(Authetic sports sedan from Europe or something)
And recently when I left the Edmonton Motor show me so glad that me got the 6.

So far the only bad thing I have with the 6 is that the rear door stops came off in the cold.
The CD player sometimes skips.
Recently noticed the rear side windows get easily fogged up
In another thread, acceleration with the auto I4 is abit fuzzy...
Think gas mileage may be abit high though.

-My favourite is the audio controls on the steering wheel.
-And that storage on the dash is neat too.
-I love the circular vents (and its seems that both GM and Ford has copied it too)
-And the rear wiper on the hatch is convenient
But man do i love the exterior; like a lux car.
Probably more that I could list but those are the ones on the top of my head.

And ask away there.
