'Reflex' Wiper Blades?

Hey Snowman, was Saffy at your first weddin'?  How'd he get the pics from the big day out in Sasquatchewan at the 'double-wide'?  Thank god he hasn't posted the pics of the hot-tub or your buddies runnin' up and down the street, eh?  (so THAT's what your old Mustang looked like?  No wonder you went to a Subaru now).

So, what's the verdict people?  Are these wipers worth the $$$?  Do they remove snow and ice well?  I just bought a set for my '01 Protege but I haven't put them on yet.  I'm seeing a lot of mixed reviews about them on this forum.  So, now I don't know what to think about them...

I don't know, but I know my friend with a Passat which comes from the factory with aero blades complained about his until they were worn in a few weeks from time of delivery. Then he found them okay. Might be the same with these.

My bro raved about his from Crappy Tire.

Bought one back in Jan-Feb 05' , worked well, I would have given it a recommendation, but as of a month ago it fell apart, not impressed.

When my car was in for servicing last week, I had them finally switch out the original blades on my car (the OE flex ones from Audi).  They had only just started to streak a little bit, which, after 18 months I thought was pretty good.

My wife put a set on her Civic about a month ago and work a hell of a lot better than the regular, traditional-style Canadian Tire "all season" wipers she had before.

I say go for 'em.

Aren't blades suppose to be changed every 6 months?  I let mine sit for years, but I hear your should change them often.

I normally would let them go longer too... but, since I was at the dealership and they're free, I thought "what the hell... winter's comin'".

My car has the original wiper inserts. My friend replaces his every 4-6 months and for years now has said mine need changing.

Heading into Winter this year, I will finally give them a change. I think the rubber compound has deteriorated/dried and doesn't work so well when there's only mild sprinkles, but still works great in rain.
