$5000 off WRX
« on: December 21, 2004, 07:09:46 pm »
Hi guys,

My friend told me when he walked into a Subaru dealership for a testdrive, the rep told him Subaru is taking $5000 off for all 04 WRX if you cash buy and that's before the shakedown. My friend chose TSX over WRX at the end due to lower depreciation. Nevertheless, it's so tempting! Just wish the lease of my Jetta 1.8T is up NOW!

Sounds like a good deal…..I have yet to confirm this on the WRX boards though. I phoned my dealer in North Bay….he laughed and said this is Christmas not April Fools.

Is there even a $5000 margin on a WRX?

cash rebate from manufacturer instead of subvention.  Margin is for the dealer to make $, the manufacturer makes his on landed cost vs. invoice.....$5k off a WRX would be possible, you could then negotiate on top...

manufacturers don't really take hits, it's worked into the invoice...if it happens on too many product lines...the hits begin...then we just up the parts prices...lol...discount the front, take it in the rear...Saffy, fire away.

nice, $3500 off 2004 WRX from factory, $1500 discount would be no problem on top according to dealer...

Maybe.... because its almost 2005.

2004 don't sell too well as new cars for 2005 me thinks.
