Shank, have you ever seen Car and Drivers 10-Best list before?  I'll bet you a pretty penny that you won't see the Cobalt, Malibu, the Ford Fivehundred, the Kia, or the Passat anywhere on that list...not a chance in hell.

Chevorlet Corvette
Ford Mustang
Porsche Boxster
BMW 3 series (as always)
BMW 5 series
Chrysler 300/300C
Honda Accord (and, as always)
Subaru Legacy
Toyota Prius

Acura RL or TSX?
S2000?  (it's seen the list many times)
EDIT: Infiniti G35? (also fairly popular on "the list")

Yeah they are categorized.  I should have realized that.  I would have changed my list a bit if I had.  Oh well.  The winners are on their site.  I won't post them yet so that people can still take a crack at the winners if they want.

Dave, I know... like I said, those are the cars that I like... I couldn't care less of Car and Drivers 10-Best list... a list that has the Ford Focus 4-5 years in a row has no credibility, especially when the Focus was a terribly unreliable car in its first years.

Hahaha...yeah, Car and Driver is a totally unreliable source.

You're probably right, the Kia Spectra and the Ford Five-hundred will be much better cars than the Focus ever was...

Kia Spectra is an excellent product this year. The redesign is awesome, and deserves tons of credit. While the Focus is now a good product, its first few years, it was terribly unreliable. As for the Ford Five-Hundred, I like it personally. Not something I'd buy myself, but it has Volvo engineering and is is a huge improvement over the previous Taurus.

Mdx... I knew someone would say that about my post... but I give credit where credit is dued... Cobalt, Malibu Maxx, Ford Five-Hundred and Chrysler 300 are all great cars, all major improvements over their predecessor. That's why I listed them.

Well, I expect 300-Series will be Canadian Car of the Year, and possibly North American.

I'm on C&D now... what an pop-up advertising mecca!

I don't disagree with the choices, but think Canada is somewhat different:
- The RL is priced far more competitively in the US than Canada, even tho Acuras are generally priced lower in Canada for their other lines.
- Where the heck is the sub and compact car award? It's all more expensive cars on the list! Best Luxury Sport Sedan or Best Muscle Car (because really, how many cars qualify here?) should have made way for Best Compact. Isn't that what the Focus won last year?
- If it weren't for the poor fuel economy and excessive oil usage, the RX-8 would have been on my list as well most definitely.
