Bridgestone 'Winterforce' Snow Tires for '02 Acural EL?
« on: December 06, 2004, 11:22:51 am »
Well, after this morning in Toronto, I think it's time to talk about snow tires.  I'm probably going to use my dealership, Acura in Markham.  They're completely out of Michelin X-Ice, and the only tire they have available are the Bridgestone WinterForce.  Are these any good?  The dealership says that they're softer than the Michelins, and will wear more.  On the other hand, at $643 incl. tax with the steel rims, they're also $200 less.

Appreciate hearing your thoughts - a reply today would be appreciated.  Thanks!

I put a set of WinterForce tires on my wife's Crapolier last December.  The tires now have probably 15,000 kms on them, and appear to be wearing well.  She is not an aggressive driver, and the tires saw mixed country road, city & 401 driving.  I'm expecting that the tires have at least another two seasons worth of tread , if not more.

I think for the price the Winterforce is a good tire.  Having ANY winter tire is better than none at all.
