What ever happened to "Road side Bingo", loved that game.  My parents didn't have a mini-van as there wasn't any back then.  Three of us in the back of a 64 Opel Kadette.  Cosy wasn't the word.

Put my vote on the "If its free" take it side.  If you 'need' a dvd player you can get portable units for cheap now.  I like the idea of putting the money towards snow tires.

"Touching the Void" is an amazing movie, one of the best outdoor movies I have ever seen and makes "Vertical Limit" look like a joke.  Can't wait for January to go to the Banff Film Festival (the travel version) again.

The g/f brings the laptop on trips to Quebec now.  It keeps her happy which makes me happy.

Can someone explain to me how a portable DVD unit can be used by 3-4 passengers at the same time? Does someone needs to hold it up high so that rear passengers can see it too?

No thanks... attached to the ceiling for me.
