how is Gislaved (swedish brand) Eurofrost or Nordfrost's performance (tracking and biting) in deep snow and ice?

I have a set of four Nordfrost and they are excellent in anything.  They are directional and can be studded.  Good wear as well.

Ibo; That is exactly the same size I have.  80 USD is about a 100 dollars CDN and that is a really good price here in Canada at least.

Off Topic:

Are you with the Turkish military? Canadian or American?  Do you use amalgam fillings?  Do you think they are a long tern health risk or simply better than doing nothing?

FountainPen:  Yes, Volvo dealer would suck big time.  Most Volvo dealers offer a set on rims for basically cost when you buy off them.  I took that deal and when I traded my S70 in on a Bimmer I of course kept them and they went directly on a Saab.  They are a great tire and I have no idea where you can get them for a decent price.

Fountainpen, not sure what location you are in, but a fellow Volvo owner went to Automotive Import Market in Markham Ontario, and said he got a good deal on the Gislaved Nordfrost III.

hi steve..
i m Turkish and in Turkish Army as military dentist..(1.Lieutenant now, next year i ll be captain)
we dont use amalgam fillings..instead of amalgams i prefer and use posterior composite fillings which is both more aestetic and resistant to occlusal forces.
as to health problem related to amalgam fillings;
since MERCURY is hazardous for human being, amalgam alloys with Mercury is not being preferred by many dentist in the world, but in terms of leakage the composite materials have handicaps.
:-)
i go skiing weekends.so i need a tire which is able to track in snow and icey surfaces..i think
nordfrost 3 is better for my purpose..
thanks u

A friend of mine got the Gislaveds from a place in Brampton called Tire World (I think) a couple years back, and said they were a pretty good deal.

UnfortunatelyAIM ran out of the Nordfrost III for 400$ all in.
Now thinking of their recommended Semperit,380 all in or
the end of run Dunlop Graspic DS-1 at Sam's Club,(they dont have the newer DS-2) ,at 430$ all in.Do you know of any other location that sell the Nordfrsot.Dealer want 130 each excluding tax and installation.Wow and cut me off too(Volvo Villa)

RNJ Tire Sales in Pickering deals with Gislaved.  This is a single-owner-operator shop as far as I know.  His name is Paul phone # 905-420-3686.  I would not expect his prices to be the cheapest, but he comes highly recommended by the guy from whom I bought my A4.  This person was a weekend racer, and said Paul is the only person he'd trust to install tires on his vehicle.

PS - I have heard a few good things about Semperits also.
