Had to kill some time the other night and as luck would have it I was next to a GM and Ford dealership.  I took a look at the new G6 (yawn) and the new Buick Allure (bigger yawn) and also had a quick peek at the 500.  I could'nt help but notice that all three cars do not use seam sealer on the doors or under the hood and trunk.  What's up with that?

Probably to make it easy for the techs to locate the leaks. Sorry Barrie, that was there for the takin'.
Here's a thought, maybe it's a cost-cutting measure!

Sure gives 'tough love' and a 'slippery back end' with 'creaks and rattles' and 'phatbox' a whole new meaning, eh?

I'm here, enjoying the afterglow off a Nice Steak Dinner at the Keg. Helps when somebody gives you a $25.00 Gift certificate to go there. May have been the best Steak I have ever eaten. Really good and so was/is the Cognac to rinse it down with. Once a year treat. I think the tolerances are getting tighter on the new cars and perhaps the seam sealer isen't required in them now.  I can understand the Buick not being your favorite Eric but a G6 with full package surprises me. Pretty Sporty Car with 200 HP at a decent price also.

I guess the G6 is ok.  Looks like a redone Grand Am.  |Nice flanks on the car.
